Dua question

Asalaamu Alaykum wa rahmatullah

Say if you were doing a certain dua and have been for a while but still no results. Then you kind of don't want the thing you were doing dua for anymore and stop doing dua for it. Does that mean your impatient and should continue to ask for the same thing or is it a blessing that you no longer want that thing anymore?

This is a difficult one to answer. We cannot ascertain what Allah (SWT) has Planned for us and likewise we cannot say whether you are impatient or your desire for the object was removed.

If it is a material object you were seeking, then perhaps consider it a good sign that you no longer desire that material possession. Most things we desire (materially) in these times are things we don't actually need.

Just remember that Allah (SWT) is Infinitely Wise and He is the Best of Planners.

I'd considering it a blessing. Perhaps whatever it was that you wish for isn't good for you, so Allah removed the desire from your heart.

Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi wa barakatuh

Firstly, you "MUST" ask for forgiveness to Allah. Our sin is the main reason why our dhua don't grants by Allah. And there is Adab (good way for) Dhua. and Keep your food and cloth Halal!
1. Sholawat in the beginning of your dua
2. Ask forgiveness for yours and your parent's sins.
3. Make your wish. Ask everything, close you are eyes and imagine that the mighty god who creates the entire universe is in front of you. Ask allah everything you want. You MUST believe that Allah listen directly to your dua.
4. Shalawat in the end of your dua.

Allah loves you but maybe you don't understand why Allah don't instantly grant your wish.
Prophet Zakaria AS keep dua to Allah for decades. And Allah grant his dua to have a son when he was old.
Keep fighting, this world is a test for us. Test to determine are we good enough to be the resident of Jannah.
