  • Man Braids halal but what about man buns?

    http://seekershub.org/ans-blog/2010/...ant-him-peace/

I didn't realize the Prophet :saw: used to braid his hair occasionally so it's halal but what about male buns (this was the trend in 2015 but apparantly 2016 its male braids) ?
I thought it was girly to braid hairs Astagfirullah I have to be wary of making such judgements based on modern society, I don't braid my hair as much because I don't like my hair wavy but guys with braids doesn't look that bad http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2015/09...n_8191172.html

I know some of the styles of braiding for men wouldnt be halal as it would fall under imitating women but anyone knows about male buns? And men shouldnt keep their hair longer than shoulder length so those long plaits are not halal ---> https://www.yahoo.com/beauty/bye-man...162147045.html

Cause I wanted to know if it was halal or haram...and to know more about the hairstyles of Rasulullah :saw:
I saw some Muslim guys with it like Adam Saleh it looks a bit odd to me but I can't say anything bad about it if it's halal you know
I'm not only interested in man buns but what about man ponytails ?
Did the Prophet :saw: ever tied his blessed hair?

I heard the prophet saw used to braid his hair on journeys when he's hair would get in the way whilst riding a camel but im not sure about man buns or ponytails. Unless it comes under imitating kuffar or women I dont see why there'd be anything wrong with it

I am currently wearing one similar to this one:

I asked my local Iman and he says it is allowed. Hope it helps!

I second that! This looks very manly and not feminine at all.
