      Should clip your nails and do stuff like that before ghusl. Think about Hygiene.

        According to the Hanafi Madhab.
        If the water reaches the skin the ghusl is valid.

        Unless the dirt is waterproof and literally stops the water reaching the skin (which I can't imagine) be the ghusl will be complete.

        A question was once asked about dirt in the belly button and validity of ghusl, the response from the scholar was:
        This kind of residual dirt is excused, because (a) it is common and there is hardship entailed in removing it; and (b) it is so slight that it isn't considered to prevent water from reaching the skin when the area is wetted. [Fatawa Hindiyya; Imdad al-Fatawa; Ibn Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar]

            water gets through dirt so gusl will be valid but you should clean your nails
