Praying missed nafil of fajr after the fajr

Can I pray the nafil of fajr after praying the fajr prayer if I missed that to pray before fajr?

If you are talking about the Sunnah of Fajr then their there is a disagreement among the schools of thought in Islam. Some have permitted it while others have not.

Its sunnah prayer not nafil. Hanafis and (as per my wife even Hanbalis) class it as strong sunnah equal to wajib status because prophet :saw: never missed the two sunnah before fardh of fajr prayer.

Therefore based on this Hanafis say it can be repeated even after fardh prayer of fajr... but as per hanafi fuqaha it has to be done after sunrise, meaning after shurooq.

However, according to shafis, they can pray the 2 sunnah , before the sunrise/shurooq immediately after fardh prayer of fajr,
