Why do annoying sufis do this?

Register multiple accounts to rant about wahhabis. Must be the 5th guy this month. Surprised it's not wahabi refulted.com lol

It’s a transliteration standard adopted by some people. Similar to how some people write Allāh.

It’s not that difficult to work out, most children could probably have figured it out.

Is this really how petty Sufis have become?

We should not judge Ahl at-Tasawwuf by the ignorance/pettyness of one you may think is from them.

Who cares how they spell these words. Most Arabic words are spelt in many different ways in English for example mohammed mohammad muhammed muhammad mohamed etc etc.

Exactly. Mohamed, the most common name in UK. Or is it Muhamed? Perhaps it's Mohammed? Or Muhammad?

There was a catch once. Smart Englanders put each of these names in own boxes just to hide that Muhammad (whatever the variation) was NOT the most common name in the UK. But somebody else proved them wrong. Damn rite it can't be Ian or John.
