How do you get perfect circles with so many people?

    :start:
    :salams

I've just watched dhuhr prayer at Makkah. How does everyone who was previously walking around the Qibla (?) in a random style, all suddenly arrange themselves into exact circles - are there lines on the floor?

Idk but i see this as a miracle of islam from Allah
Can you see any other faith able to get thousands upon thousands of its people to pray in such cohesion and unison with zero effort
It would be a logistical nightmare for them.
    With us it's effortless
It may not be easy, you may not understand it, but you need to have the Imaan to trust Allah when life doesn't make sense.

      Wa Alaikum Salaam

      cos they're facing the Kaba?

Do you not see that Allah has made subject to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth and amply bestowed upon you His favors, [both] apparent and unapparent? But even so, the circles could easily be wonky as the line goes around it.

          Wa'alaikumsalam wr wb

Yes there are lines on the floor. Usually the first saf , i believe they follow the lines , then the rest just follow accordingly.

            Wa alaikum as salam sister,
There aren't lines on the floor per se. But the tiling is done in a way that acts as a guideline I guess you could say. So the tiles are like big rectangular slabs of marble and they're kind of arranged concentrically I guess. So if they were used as a general guideline it would work out. HOWEVER, I don't think that people usually use them like that. As in I've never really seen people looking at the ground to figure it out in the mat'af because well the ka'ba is right in front of you.
But this is very useful in some other parts of the mosque. Like the mas'a where you do sa'i they have the marble tiles going the way that the saf would be formed. So there it is really handy alhumdulillah.

There are also people who arrange (men and women )and they are going to tell you to go to this side or stand on this line ...
Ibn Al Qayyim may Allah have mercy on him said: ("
The heart on its journey towards Allah the Exalted is like that of a bird. Love is its head, and fear and hope are its two wings. When the head is healthy, then the two wings will fly well. When the head is cut off, the bird will die. When either of two wings is damaged, the bird becomes vulnerable to every hunter and predator..”

                The tiles and carpets.

The first time I went there, was with some friends.
Me and a friend decided to go and make tawaaf after dhuhr.
Was extremely hot, we took our sandals off as we entered courtyard and found the floor to be so hot it stung our feet.
We approached close to the ka'ba and realised that the floor here was cool and soothing to the feet.
We were both convinced it was a miracle of Allah, mindblown kinda feeling.

Found our other friends back at the hotel later and both of us were telling them about this miracle we experienced.
They laughed at us and said that this particular area has pipes running underneath which keep the floor cool:(

The way you phrased your post made me remember this story.
There is rest only in the aakhira.
Man will rest in the aakhira according to how hard he strives in dunya.

I saw a dog without any clothes on .
                That's right, a nude dog.
                The Deepweb is disgusting.

yes, never step outside those areas which is hot. Not a pleasant experience.
The floor near the kaaba was cool because I believe they use special tiles.

Yes that's right. The tiles are cool because they are made from Thassos white marble which is heat resistant. Imported from Greece I think.
It's a common misconception that there is some kind of pipe cooling system underneath. I wonder how that rumor ever started. There's absolutely no basis.

Cause folks like me will believe anything you tell us as long as you use the words "trust me".
I've been thinking its pipes for the last decade -.-
