    Aslam u laikum

Just something i needed clarifying really.

after having marital relations I had a shower however I didnt wash my hair with shampoo but I run water through it with my hands about 3/4 times so it became damp.
(reason for this was i had a shower day before and hair was clean)

    I did wudhu after

    Am I purified?

what is correct way of doing a bath after marital relations? are the following statements valid?

You should have a shower straightaway in morning before eating or speaking with anyone.

after having a shower you have to clean the bath out becuase now the bath has become " unpurified"?

look up how to do ghusl (the arabic name for it) - it's different in different madhabs (schools of thought) so if you follow a madhhab do what your madhab says to do.

if you don't follow a maddhab, then do it this way cause it's more simple than getting confused by different maddhab opinions: http://www.islam-qa.com/en/ref/82344...o%20do%20ghusl (I think this is a salafi fatwa site, but in any case it's backed up by Qur'an and Sunnah which is what is important!)

and don't worry, shampoo is NOT necessary, just clean water is all that's needed (shampoos okay, good time to wash your hair as well) and no, the bath DOESN'T become impure
