  • Fakhri sorry for late reply I didn't get the notification

my sisters wedding I went for the ceremony then got an uber home when everyone started getting drunk so I didn't stay long
Each person has inside a basic decency and goodness. If he listens to it and acts on it, he is giving a great deal of what it is the world needs most. It is not complicated but it takes courage. It takes courage for a person to listen to his own goodness and act on it.

        Assalamu 'alaikum warahmatullah.

It's a thread to encourage dhikr of Allah Ta'aalaa.
The problem is for myself and maybe others, we often easily reduce dhikr to just dhikr of the tongue without consciousness of Allah Ta'aalaa.

The purpose of the thread was to remind myself and others to not be absent-minded when making 'dhikr'

I could post ahadith and aayaat about dhikr (and inshaaAllah I will), but sometimes when dhikr is mentioned we think of dhikr of the tongue alone, even when the term appears in Qur'an.

The aayaat or parts of the aayat have been cited which mention the awareness of Allah Ta'aalaa when it comes to what we think, or mention His Kindness to us, or address us in some of the more direct ways... Such things as would inshaaAllah help engender in us the desire to make dhikr with consciousness and a sense of love for Him Subhaanahu wa Ta'aalaa.

If you know believe there are things incorrect in the wording or in the content of the the thread or title, please help amend it/them, dear brother.

Too often I've found myself browsing the forum in a way that contributes to ghaflah. inshaaAllah, seeing the thread title appear in the 'new posts' may serve as a reminder to have our focus on Allah Ta'aalaa.

        (Jazaa'akallah khair.)

Wa iyyak. May people benefit, ameen.

On the Surah Mulk thread, what about posting 1 Ayah from the Surah (with translation), daily for 3 days or something and then after the 3rd day go to the 2nd Ayah for 3 days etc. It might help/motivate those who haven't memorised it yet. And maybe also because though some might want to memorise they might be delaying it or getting distracted on the net etc etc. And like on the Sayyid Istighfar thread, someone was inspired to read the Du'a daily, alhamdulillah. There may be lots of rewards in doing this too, in sha Allah. Just an idea, you don't have to do this.
