I was interested in knowing how much of an actual threat she is to AKP or whether this is just exaggerating editorial that makes Aksener look like some sort of messianic figure.

I see, so you are already familiar with her. Your question was a bit vague, so I thought you wanted to know more about her.

Meral Aksener is not someone who has the capacity to become an existential threat to Islam in Turkey, although I'm not sure if the Europeans hope for her to become that in the first place. At most, she might be able to influence the Nationalist votes, which might become an issue, as Erdogan does rely often in referendums on their votes. The Europeans might aim for that. The recent propaganda around her are just attempts at making her known in the West, so that the Europeans know who to support and finance. The Euros are also working hard to make her the new face of Turkish Nationalism.

But the Muslim Turkish Nationalists aren't that stupid. They might be Nationalists, but sometimes they can be pretty useful for Islam, as it's easy to gain support from them against outside threats. And Aksener is pretty much an outside threat. So yeah, Aksener might
