Re: What made you sad today..
:salams
Crying is good. Sadness is good. Sorrow is good, having the feeling of "no escape" is good. It provides the means of you seeking deeper. The moment you give up. That is not good.
The key is to surrender to Allah SWT.
Allahu alamLa ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa 'ala kulli sha'in Qadir(there is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him; His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent),'
Do not say about Allah but Truth.

Re: What made you sad today..
that sometimes it's absence that makes us appreciate presence.
that sometimes we want something that can't truly be ours. And with Him are the keys of the Ghayb (all that is hidden), none knows them but He. And He knows whatever there is in the land and in the sea; not a leaf falls, but He knows it. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth nor anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record

I feel so downThe Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “It will be said to the companion of the Qur’an: ‘Read, and ascend, and recite as you used to recite in the [previous] world, for your status will be according to the last verse that you recite.’” [At-Tirmidhi (2914) and Abu Dawood (1464)]

Wondrous is the affair of the believer for there is good for him in every matter and this is not the case with anyone except the believer. If he is happy, then he thanks Allah and thus there is good for him, and if he is harmed, then he shows patience and thus there is good for him.

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
If Allah intends good for someone, then He afflicts him with trials.

Mus’ad ibn Sa’eed reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
The servant will continue to be tried until he is left walking upon the earth without any sin.

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
When Allah intends good for His servant, He hastens the punishment for him in this world, and when Allah intends evil for His servant, He withholds punishment for his sins until he appears on the Day of Resurrection.
In another narration, the Messenger of Allah said:
Verily, with greater rewards come greater trials. Verily, when Allah loves a people He will test them, so whoever is pleased then for him is satisfaction, and whoever is angry then for him is wrath.
