It seems like things are changing now, theres much less people that will let things slide, most people aren't ok with whats going on. Like in the US a lot more people are voting republican and leaving democrats, in Canada the same, more are starting to support the conservatives. Contrary to popular belief, a lot of the youth are conservative or at least anti leftist.

But don't know if that will make things better, just means we're exchanging one shayateen for another.

There's a saying in bengali (don't know where it originates from)

It's about two other faiths in the world
you can stay at one of their homes but don't trust the food they offer you because it will be haram and they won't care if they serve you alcohol

The other one, you can eat the food offered to you by these people, you can trust it but don't stay with them because they will be plotting to kill you

If you ask me, I think you should put your passion aside for the time being and just do the course but then provide feedback on how you feel it is discriminatory towards men and their stance that's similar to original sin. You could add more to it and explain how it could potentially create more harm, e.g if you tell a kid he is bad to begin with, he could more likely end up being more rebellious.

You can create your own network for men/male students if you want, men that have had enough of being painted as sexual predators, gain some support for your opinions with like minded people, there are non Muslim men that have had enough too.

Some medical practitioners have abused their profession and patient trust so it can be argued that this topic they want you take can be beneficial, just because one focuses on specialising in a specific subject, it doesn't mean that other subjects don't intertwine with it. Medicine in today's world is practically connected to the economy, and there's so much ethical and social issues, e.g euthanasia, there is a debate going on whether or not it should be legalised.

We have to understand that we have chosen to come to a Kaffir country to benefit from their educational system. This isn't to say we should get abused and our faith to be trampled over, but we have to remember there is no point of ruining what you came here for a pesky module that is not against your immediate beliefs. Passion can make us regretful later on in life.

I think you should focus on your studies and not risk getting further warnings, it's not worth it because our one opinion will not change the world. The world will and is supposed to get worse so we have to prepare ourselves and protect our offsprings by making sure we do not benefit from those that are enemies of Islam.

This is our biggest failure, we stay with those we criticise, we take from them, we seek protection from them and then we expect them to learn from us or take our plea seriously?

We can only give dawah to those that will take heed.

We already have a course on medical ethics, this training is not about practising medicine, I know why they're doing this, its because of the stuff that happens on college campuses and also part of the training is about gender discrimination, so this is largely ideological social engineering.

Ya I have the same idea, that maybe I'm exaggerating it and should just do it, but if we just let it slide, they're going to keep pushing it. They also mentioned theres a way to opt out of the training, I'm just trying to gather some more info from them, and then try to opt out of it, though opting out just means they'll give an "alternative training".

Not every segment of the western population agrees with sexual liberation so generalising like this is not correct and it's not like Muslim majority countries are necessarily better. Egypt, a country full of Muslims but has lots of fahisha and sexual harassment and violence and not much is done to stamp out sexual crimes. Victim blaming is common place there and in other Muslim majority countries.
At least here they are trying to put an end to this and protect women (and men). I think it should be appreciated rather than opposed.

Okay, that makes sense. Obviously they oppose these 'degenerate' acts hence why they are even doing this training in the first place.

I think I do get where you're coming from though, can feel like you're being looked at as a potential sex offender, but I'm sure everyone both males and females are having to do this training right? Annoying as it is, it's better to just think of it as another hoop you need to jump through to get your degree.

if you still want to opt out, make sure to get a lot of information to ensure that it won't affect your studies.

This is why you're the least suitable person to be forum moderator. Sajid has done an excellent job over so many years and you're undermining everyone's efforts with your antics. If you can't behave appropriately as a moderator, you should just resign from your position and let the other mods oversee things, but if you want to keep your position, your antics shouldn't be allowed to continue.

Whilst it's clear that you don't care about the opinions of people on the forum anyway, at least care about the fact that Allah (swt) is watching and your constant mocking and belittling of mental health conditions will not do you any favours in the akhirah. If that's not enough to prompt some restraint- then if you have no shame, do as you wish!
