Yeh but realistically, how many actually care, honestly they couldn't care less and a woman doesn't have to be my blood relative for me to care about her safety and well being (saying this in general because that's how it seems to be)

In Bangladesh, me and my sisters were told not to walk around the courtyard. How bad is that, I was a teenager and didn't know anything naive, dumb so I learnt on later that it was because some men used to stalk my sister and there are creeps that check women out.

If I haven't made it obvious enough, I'm a plain Jane and it doesn't matter if you're drop dead gorgeous, these men have no respect for women but then again, they have no dignity for themselves.

In other words, I hated it over there, very restricted purely because there's no safety because of the men and no system in place to help you

This is coming from someone who stays home anyway, so it's not to do with being a feminist either.

I just don't understand, are men that hungry, I know Allah made women a fitnah for them but how much out of control can one get, may Allah keep us safe and on the straight path. Ameen

It's so common that there's a special term for it in South Asia, "eve-teasing". Although, eve-teasing is worse because it goes beyond looking to actually teasing and harassing. Victims sometimes commit suicide due to constantly being harassed. I remember it was very bad back in 2010, and there were lots of media coverage about it. But it died down as usual.

I remember that when going out, men used to always stare at me, idk if they were sexually doing so, but it was weird still, eventually I would start staring back, and then they'd shyly look away. I remember also I got circumcised there, and after the procedure I was in my bed, in a big room with other beds, it was too painful for me to put a blanket to cover myself, but the male nurse there kept saying I needed to because there were guys staring at me from the door, idk if that was true or if he was just saying that to get me to put the blanket on. Another similar experience when I was at my aunts apartment, it was too hot, and the only room that had a breeze was the family room because the door to the lobby was open, so I used to nap on the couch there in the afternoons, but my aunt kept saying not to because there were guys walking by in the lobby that would stop and stare at me sleeping, again idk if she was just saying that to get me to sleep somewhere else because she was embarrassed. I wasn't like a feminine looking boy either.

in south asia there is a rape culture going on amongst some men a trend of abusing women and also displaying it on social media

it commonly happens in india and bangladesh

and many rape and harrassment cases are not looked into by authorities

this is the consequence of following corrupt democratic laws they have no justice
aswell as what the brother previously said about making marriage hard and increase in pornography and globalisation

some of these guys just need get wacked to make the rest learn a lesson

I don't think that is a viable long term solution. The corruption, lack of resources, training, time, among other issues doesn't make it feasible.

I'm not sure what the point is of a few people posting anecdotal stories and repeating the same mantra of "Muslim men bad". What are they hoping to achieve?

Is their belief that men from certain countries are inherently predisposed to harass women, and others aren't? Are they suggesting it is genetic? It's like concluding that from looking at crime figures, certain races are genetically predisposed to criminality.

It's sad that a few bitter people on the forum are using a terrible situation for petty point scoring.

One thing I've noticed on this forum is that regarding male behavior, it's common to attack the symptom and simply blame men, ignoring the possible causes for it. On the other hand when it is an issue pertaining to females e.g. posting provocative tiktok videos, or a married woman meeting a male friend, the focus is on the possible causes for the behaviour.

its not muslim men who are bad if you read my post i mentioned india the bulk of which are hindus this is not to do with Islam or muslim men

I agree the issue has been around a long time and not properly addressed. Identifying the various societal causes for it and offering long term lasting solutions would be more helpful instead of simplly putting it down to "pervy muslim men" ( not saying you are doing this) and leaving it at that. That doesn't help the situation, it only helps the enemies of Islam demonize the religion further.

It's true, simple things like getting up easily and walking comfortably, that's freedom, or walking to the nearest shop to buy something.

Currently I can't move about properly, it's temporary but it is becoming more frequent not even a doctor can help you but for someone like myself that doesn't go out much anyway, having independence such as good health is precious.

I can't imagine those who are always out and about survive being home bound.

I don't think anyone's bitter or petty point scoring in this conversation son.

Also I dislike the way how people keep assuming excessively negative things just because a post or conversation isn't to their liking. It was same with that incel community post and others one's implying there's ganging up going on even though the accused people involved were not even cooperating. People just think differently on some issues, no need for a conspiracy explanation.

I attempted it before, my health problem isn't due to mere deficiencies and my body isn't in the right state for weights. I'll cause more damage. I have severe reactions to iron supplements so I don't take those anymore.

Every time I go to the doctor, they say I'm fine and they don't like to look into it too much because I'm supposed to be 'young'. Called doctor today and no appointments.

I stopped exercise because that's when I over did it and injured my hip but my problems are mostly hormonal and the doctors aren't helpful, I'm planning on saving up for private health for thorough check ups and diagnosis.

I still have that cough and they did scans but it's labelled 'seasonal cough'. Every time I explain to people they actually don't even believe it especially with the pandemic but that's what I was told and there's no solution for it.

I need an injection to boost me with energy.

When I feel well, I go out for a walk, mostly at lunch times. I look like a healthy person minus the tired eyes but I need a check up.
