I wanted to write a post on UF complaining about my backache, but then decided to leave it to Allah.

Learnt about complaining only to Allah through Surah Yusuf verse 86:

"He said: "I only complain of my grief and sorrow to Allah, and I know from Allah that which you know not."

Btw I know that its surah sajdah as I moved to an uncomfortable position, and then my back pain came back, then I put surah sajdah on and felt better like my back feels serene right now.

Alhamdulilah, even if you don't care about my silly back troubles its good to know about complaining only to Allah and the miracles of surah sajdah.
    this is related your story.

this person complained of being obese on islamqa and they advised to seek a specialist and they also recommended reciting ''al-Mu‘awwidhaat [the last three soorahs of the Qur’an]'' and I thought this is kind of surprising you know to connect this with obesity, but your story gave me a bit of inspiration and removed doubt.

    8 powerful habits to succeed

    1. Wake up early!
    2. Do it as soon as possible, you could die tonight so make the best of today
    3. Remember your life is unique, don't compare yourself to others. Use that jealousy as an energy to make your life a success"
    4. Have healthy habits. Set a time each day to exercise. Try with the mindset you're only going to do some jumping jacks for 5 seconds and the next thing you know, you're doing a workout!
    5. Read, read, read. Ponder over the Qur'an, learn more. Put the idiot box (TV) away
    6. Take note. Desires make slaves out of kings and patience makes kings out of slaves.
    7. Results aren't just worldly. Results are also about perseverance, retaining dignity, being honest, being honourable, doing good unto others.
    8. Always encourage others especially our brothers and sisters, let them know making mistakes is okay, we all make mistakes, do not ever undermine them and make them feel incompetent. This id also true for the dunya, so what if they don't get the maths sum right the first time, that is what LEARNING is.

                    • A woman in Pakistan killed her 17 month old nephew because they preferred him over her child. Then she goes on to say how the in laws treated her badly and she never got along with the sis in law. That is no reason to kill your sis in laws baby. What kind of world are we living in. Apparently it was the jealousy that took over. Still no excuse to kill an innocent child. So sad.

                            • You guys, give me your thoughts on this scenario:

My friend (non-Muslim) who I've known for a long time is asking for money while she's on holiday to her parents country.

She asked me to send it through this website, which I at first thought was a money sending company.

When I looked more into the site, it appeared to be for a mobile/internet/cable provider.

I feel its weird for me to send money to her that is for her phone or tv bill, not for food or cab money etc.

She's been a friend for a long time, but do I owe it to her?

Will I get punished for not helping someone in need (for whatever the need is)?
