How did you go to university?

I see threads where many have gone to university.

how did you do this without taking riba loans?

I ask because I thought the only way was to go through student finance

    maybe a I missed something

Some people avoid taking the loan and work for it by making use of their holidays. Others have their courses funded, a few borrow money from close friends and family, some result to student loan as a last resort

guess the ones who went a decade ago had it easier.

9k tuition fees these days before you add all the other costs you have to keep up with.

      It is peak.

          Own money

Also, take gap years and save money while working to pay for the fees.

The other option is to home study bit by bit so that you don't fall behind. This option depends on what you want to specialise in. Say if it's teaching, I'd highly recommend it.

          Requires dedication though.

agree, we are stuck in a circle of this evil.

That is what happens when we don't have our own land.

I think sadly many go because of lack of knowledge of riba and pressure from parents.

                              Correct.

The lack of knowledge of riba seems to be the prime cause behind all the Muslims with mortgages.
