"Had Allah lifted the veil for his slave and shown him how He handles his affairs for him, and how Allah is more keen for the benefit of the slave than his own self, his heart would have melted out of the love for Allah and would have been torn to pieces out of thankfulness to Allah. Therefore if the pains of this world tire you do not grieve. For it may be that Allah wishes to hear your voice by way of duaa. So pour out your desires in prostration and forget about it and know; that verily Allah does not forget it."

I believe it was al-Albanee or Ibn Baz (alayhima rahmatullah) who said if you want to listen to how the Quran was revealed, then listen to al-Minshawi.

Taraaweeh on one of the last ten nights at a local Masjid...

                Second rak'ah, especially. Alhamdulillah.
I believe this was quite a well known Shaykh. Maybe someone knows his name?

^ Some very sweet recitations above, Jazakumullahu kayran for sharing.

I love those recitations (and Adhan) where I can physically feel its effect. It feels like it's sedating/calming; passing through to the heart. How to describe... Synced? It makes you pause. Something inside you is gripped by the sound and the words. You want to take it all in. A true delight in this world. What a gift, alhamdulillah.

With this one (link below), for me, the deep-ish voice and the calm pace adds. Alhamdulillah.

And I love the story of Musa, 'alayhi salam - and I love his Mum!

First thoughts:why eare these brothers dressed like your average hoodlum while about to recite Qur'an like this, and passing microphones over, shared between three people, something about these kinds of shared recitations... What is the ruling on this, I wonder?... 3 minute 40 seconds in though and all you can think of is the excellence of the qiraa'ah. Allahu akbar. Alhamdulillah.

                            • Surah Al-Mutaffifin | Ahmad Rajab

How beautiful are the words and how they sound.

                              'Alal-araaa-iki yandhurooon (83:23)

                              Ta'rifu fee wujoohihim nadratan-na'eem (83:24)

^ For the special guests of Ar-Rahman, the Most Loving and Compassionate. May Allah grant us His Rahmah, ameen.

It makes you rememeber those who have been hurt in the life of this world, and you feel a wonderful delight for them that: This is for you, in sha Allah. Your tears of hurt and sorrow and your screams of distress, will turn into joy and laughter forever, close to Allah, in sha Allah.

Allah will never abandon or crush the hopes of the sincere souls. And to Him is the highest of all praises, worthy of celebration. Alhamdulillah.
