There are some Qaris who read in a melodious voice but it doesn't make you emotional and touch you the way it's supposed to. It's because they concentrate on getting the perfect tune rather than focus on the meaning and with the belief that these are Allah Azza wa Jal's words.
Ikrimah RA used to open the Mushaf and cry before falling unconscious and he used to be weeping saying, "These are the words of my lord, my lord!"
And then there are the people who recite the Qur'an with such feeling and conviction that it makes you emotional even though they dont have the vocal range of the previous Qari's.Comment
