    Runny nose

The air is chilli and the lake has froze,
Yet runny as a river is my runny nose
And like a feather to the skin, it does but tickle,
As I can feel a few drops, through my nostrils trickle

They fall like tears, - though I do not cry, -
Or like raindrops, from a cloudy sky
Or like a faulty tap, that does drip drip,
They race from my nose, down to my lip

Oh no! I have not a tissue, about my person!
Indeed, winter has come by so sudden!
And as I stand now, before my boss,
With my runny nose, I am at a loss!

This is really awkward. So what I don't care. Has this ever happened to you guys fams?

It was very nice at the beginning, then became too satirical. I won't say "I don't like fun", I laughed once at "down to my lip", but it fun isn't beautiful, and a poem that is beautiful, is nice I think.

One thing that struck me was your use of winter, now when it's spring... the poem is out of season.

However, the beginning was nice, especially a comparison to a river.

To answer your question I haven't tried that exact situation, but it's difficult to pray salah sometimes when your nose is running.

Ahaha bro I really like reading your responses in this section, you're most perceptive ma sha Allah.

Yes it is spring, indeed, but "winter has come by so sudden". :D
And sorry bro, I don't write poems I only write lines, so there's bound to be some immaturity.

            BarakAllahu Feek.

            Come by a sudden... Aha!
Every line can be a poem in itself. SubhanAllah!

10/10. This poem should be in the tournament.

it would have been disqualified since it doesn't fit under any of the themes.

                But it's 10/10 lols
                Indeed we belong to Allah,
and indeed to Him we will return.

re rep: no I wasn't. It's really good!

I forgot about theme lol, but I would've been more interested in the competition, if the theme fits these types of poems. =]
