    sabke bus ki bat nahi

    Zikr-e-khuda mein harr dum rahna,
    sabke bus ki baat nahi,

    Khaahish-e-nafs se bachtey rahna,
    sabke bus ki bat nahi,

Ungli se ishaara chaand ki jaanib,
    saarey insaan kartey hain,

Ungli se chaand ke tukrey karna,
    sabke bus ki bat nahi,

Deen ki khaatir ghar ghar jaana,
    Taaif jaa kar pathar khaana,

    phir bhi duaayein detey rahna,
    sabke bus ki bat nahi,

    Ashaab-e-Rasool to sab ke sab,
Makhlooq mein sab se akbar hai,

    Siddiq ka jaisa aashiq hona,
    sabke bus ki bat nahi,

Duniya ke salaafi duniya bhar mein,
    ghashtey lagaatey phirtey hai,

    Farooq ka jaisa ghasht lagaana,
    sabke bus ki bat nahi,

    Usman-e-ghani ka hamsar hona,
    maal mein beyshak mumkin hai,

Deen aur haya ka haamil hona,
    sabke bus ki bat nahi,

    Pyaare sahaaba deen ki khaatir,
    Jaaney Qurbaan kartey thay,

Deen ki khaatir Jaan ka dena,
    sabke bus ki bat nahi,

              ???!!!! *torture*

where on earth did you get that from? and which filmy gaana?

Its a nazm/naath.... dont think its composed by copyin lines of any filmy gaana whatsoever.

And the lines, if you understand them completely, then they are facts bout the sahaba and sahaba's lives whose names are mentioned in this nazm.

Re: sabke bus ki bat nahi

I'm 100% positive that this nazm has been made by copying some old filmy gaana. I don't remember which one, but the tune sounds familiar... must be something like "pyaar main mit kar paagal hona...sab ke bas ki baat nahin".

Most of the Urdu naats & nazms these days are composed on the same tune as hindi film songs. They just change some of the words of hindi songs to make them Islamic. Ive got some Urdu naat CDs & I can safely say that atleast 25% of them have been sung in the same tune as hindi film songs.

                  Assalamu Alaykum,

The ruling is that if it reminds you of songs then you cannot listen to them, but for others, because they don't even know of the actual song the tune etc. has been taken from, they wouldn't know anyway and hence it's okay for them. And Allah Ta'ala knows best.

Re: sabke bus ki bat nahi

lol leave ur assumptions somewhere... as far as this nazm is concerned its verrrrrrrry old... written ages ago and some youngster jus sang it around 10yrs ago or so....and it was recorded then and have been circulating in cds since then...

and ur arguement like the song has 'sabke bas ki bat nahi'... doesnt really proves that nazm writer copied it from the song... it can also be argued back by saying the song writer might have copied the words from nazm... as thats what most singers, n filmy writers do :s

Re: sabke bus ki bat nahi

Well...then maybe Akhtar saab , Gulzaar saab etc take their inspiration from naats & nazms to create their filmy gaana lyrics and their music directors & composers also compose it on the same tune as the nazms

So much similarity can't be a coincidence, surely.

i very much doubt this nasheed is taken from any song. there are some nasheeds like these the words were made and recited by scholars. i.e ' muhammad ka roza' was made up by maulana saeed (?) i think and the words are truly sincere and heart rending. no shirk, no prancing, no film background, just simple beautiful words sung simply.
