    Precious Pearl

    This is an account
    Of a young girl
    Her mother: a jeweller
    Selling diamonds and pearls

    She waited around
    Her mothers’ shop
    Until her father arrived
    To pick her up

    She’d been gazing around
    The shop all day
    Peering through
    The glass windowpanes

    Pondering about
    Precious gemstones
    To her father she inquires
    “Tell me about pearls?”

    The ideal pearl;
    Perfectly smooth and round
Valued as an object of beauty,
    For many centuries now

From the bottom of the deep blue sea
    The pearl oyster lives
Covers and protects its’ precious pearl
    Not easily it gives

    “Tell me about diamonds”
    The girl then asked
    “Are they easy to find
    Or are they also masked?”

    The natural diamond
    Clear, colorless in appearance
    Deeply hidden in Diamond-bearing rock
    Brought to the Earth’s surface
    By volcanic eruptions
A small fortune does it cost

    “What about gold?”
A highly sought after metal of old
A bright yellow color so pure
    Beautiful, imperishable, exquisite
    To be mined,
    Within the earth, so secure

    “Look to your Mother dear”
Far more precious than any gemstone
    She is covered too
With the Hijab that she wears
    Day in day out
For the sake of Allah due

The girl pondered at the thought
What’s most valued on this Earth
    Veiled, secured and covered

    The Muslim woman
    With her hijab
    Pure, loved and treasured

    Re: Precious Pearl

    Love it! :jkk:
May Allah bless all the Muslimahs observing hijab for His sake.
Secure few moments, everyday, to reflect upon the innumerable blessings of Allah and thank Him for bestowing them upon you.

"A person who is blessed with the ability to be grateful, shall never be deprived of barakah and increase in blessings."
