    March of the Black Ants

A poem by Abu Muslim al-Amreeki

    —————

In days of old, when men would sin

Their cheeks would burn with shame

    They held themselves accountable

And didn’t try and shift the blame

    —————

Today such strong and honest men

    Are scarcely to be found

Who when wrong promptly admit it

And when right they fight and stand their ground

    —————

We fatwa shop and call it “haqq”

To pave our paths with ease

    Then pile on prescription drugs

But pills won’t kill the hearts disease

    —————

    We justify our apathy

With the pretty lies we speak

And no longer even have the strength

To admit that we are weak

    —————

    Today the lying mealy mouthed

    Munafiq seems to reign supreme

And scoundrels gaze with evil eye

    Upon the brave mujahideen

    —————

We sit and make excuses why

    We cannot stand and fight

While kufr creeps into our midst

Like black ants in the night

    —————

We sit and make excuses why

    We cannot stand and fight

While kufr creeps into our midst

Like black ants in the night

    —————
