    Tajweed rules.

    Huruf Al-Idgham

    Letters of connections.

    Also known as Yarmaluna. يرملون

Where ever you find a noon suqoon K(with a suqoon ( ' )on top.)
With a letter of Idgham following after it you must connect that letter to the letter before the noon suqoon, so therefore the noon suqoon is ignored.

    انْ تُؤمِنُوا

    #2
    Huruf Al-Inqilaab

Noon is replaced with a Mim where ever a Baa occurs after a Noon.

    (refer to example A)
This example shows how you can turn nooncation to mimification.

      Huruf Al-Madh

The letters of prolonging. There are three categories:
      1) Prolonging by two.
      2) Prolonging by four.
      3) Prolonging by six.

You may prolong by two in places where aalif occurs after a letter in the same word or a wow.
      (Refer to example B).

When an aalif or a hamza appears after a letter you must prolong by four only.
      (Refer to example C).

The stroke above the aalif is called an alamaa. Where you find this followed by an aalif or a hamza the rule of prolonging by four applies.
If the aalif or hamza are a part of the same word then they must always be prolonged by four.
If however they are not then there is a choice of prolonging by two or four.
(Refer to example D and E)

When a letter of shadah appears above a letter after the alamaa then you must prolong by six.
If a letter of siqoon appears after the alamaa again you must prolong by six.
(Refer to example F and G)

In surah Yunus there are two places where the rule of prolonging by six applies at the beginning of the ayah.
      These ayahs are 90/91
      (Refer to example G)

This is where Allah is questionning about himself. The reciter has a choice of prolonging the end of an ayah he must prolong like so throughout that particular recitation so he can not keep changing by shortening or lengthening each end of an ayah.

                  Huruf Al-Qalqala

ق ذ' ب با رThese letters make a 're-bound' sound at the back of your throat.
To remember the Huruf Al-Qalqala we can say:
                  Qatabujaadin.

                  (Refer to Examples H).

The surah whwre you mostly find this rule are in Sruahs Lahab, Nas, Falaq, Ikhlas and Kafirun.

                    Salam

just found this site, it seems pretty good.

though nothing beats having a real teacher and going to a class.

                    http://www.quranicsciences.com/

Although ive noticed that the audio does not work in Mozilla firefox for some strange reason but works in Internet explorer. Weird.

A fab website i think mashAllah.
