What I mean is, apart of Quran, all other Arabic texts are written without vowels? How one is able to read it?
Well just pure reading is not possible, in fact it is accompanied with understanding. One should be able to follow the meanings and be familiar with Arabic literature.
Yes, Alhamdulillah. Can't remember exactly how long it took me, since I started learning Arabic at very young age. You need to have a good grasp of grammar, and a sizeable vocabulary to be able to read without tashkeel.

Of course, we need to understand what we read. Building up vocabulary and keeping up constant practice.

Ma sha'Allah. Sound good approach. Do you read everyday dear ukhti?
I wonder why, they have to write without tashkeel (vowel signs). My learning would be SO much easier, Alhamdulillah.
Technically it's impossible to read without haraakat -_-
You mean tashkeel.
You think you know more than my scholar's qiyās? He was more learned than you and all other scholars combined. Yeah, the devil was the greatest scholar too and look where his qiyās of fire being better than tīn got him. Sorry.
You follow your scholar's qiyās, and I will follow the Qur'ān and Sunnah.
How long did take for you to start reading Arabic without hakarat (vowels) ?
It takes a lot of practice sis; reading without harakat just requires a lot of practice and because you get used to the words, they'll be like second nature. Similar to how if I write "The the girl went up the hill" You'll only read "The girl went up the hill" without the second "The" because you know two "the's" cannot exist consecutively. Also similar to how if I wrote "the bird chrips" you'll be able to make out I meant "chirps" and not "chrips".
until the khilafa of Ali Radya Allahu Anhu people used to read Quran without Tashkeel and without dots it was later when non arabs becoming Muslims that was indtroduced
