  • What are methods you implement to memorize the Quran?

    Bismillah

    :salams

I was wondering, if anyone record their recitation to check how it is going? As, we can't have Tajweed teacher 24/7 with us.
If, so do you find it beneficial?

It's a good idea and it does help with memorisation.
Or just take a picture of the verses you plan on memorising and view every so often.
For Tajweed, it's probably better to listen to a recording of a Qari reciting if a teacher isn't available.
If your on your own, how will you know you are making Tajweed errors?

Listening to a recording of the page throughout the day recited by someone with a moderate-quick recitation.

      Mainly, though...
Recite several lines 15-20 times by looking at the mushaf, then recite the same lines without looking.

      Use the same mushaf.

Own du'aas and du'aas of others.

Regular revision of what has been memorised.

(For someone memorising on their own. As mentioned above, Tajweedz also.)
      LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH
      -------------------------------
"And if you would count the graces of God, never could you be able to count them. Truly, God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Qur'aan 16:18)
NOTE: Please kindly do NOT rep my posts. (Jazaa'akumullah).

        Good idea.
I have weekly sessions over the Skype with my Tajweed teacher.I was thinking, when I practice by myself, recording will come handy, as I could hear like a outsider my recitation, and see better where I am going wrong.

Very helpful advice. Alhamdulillah, it is true, Qari, who recite slower is very helpful.
I think, my shortfall is, that I haven't done it daily.
May Allah SWT make us those, who hold on His Book,Ameen.
