Most of these books are very good
Isn't kalamullah heavily associated with NAK?

            Quite the opposite afaik.

You need a brother to practise with chatting.

I have a sister who I can chat with when I become proficient Inshallah, and eventually we can have whole chats to keep me remembering the language.

I'm a very small beginner at the moment though and sister is very patient.

                It's mixed

Put the time and effort in and you honestly don't need such courses like Al bayyinah

Memrise has a really good course for free, doesn't exactly cover everything, but its a good beginners course.

I agree - Arabic with Husna is very good. The episodes are not long and they progress in a logical manner, so you don't get mixed up. Even for intermediate learners, it is useful, in my experience. It's not expensive either - under £100 a year!

Most of those books are copyrighted, aren't they? I know the Al Arabiya Bayna Yadayk ones are sold online.
