  • Letters preceeding the Raa

As-Salam 'alaykum wa rahmattulahi wa barakakatuhu.

Can someone tell me whether the Baa sound with a fatha proceeding the raa in a word is heavy or light. For example in the word 'barakatuhu', is the 'ba' pronounced heavy or light?

Thank you kindly in advance :)

I am pretty sure it's light. Baa is light in all cases as far as I know.
Secure few moments, everyday, to reflect upon the innumerable blessings of Allah and thank Him for bestowing them upon you.
