  • Please help o you who have read the madinah books!

    Salamoaleikom
Im currently reading the madinah books. Im on book 2.
I have a few questions. Lets start with my first questtion.

لعل can mean either "I hope" or "Im afraid".
Im confused about the second meaning "Im afraid".

What kind of fear is it? Is it real fear as in "Im scared or worried"? Or is it as in "Unfortunately, I regret to tell you that.."?

My second question is, What is the difference between "فان" and "ﻵن"? They both mean "because".
The authour used this sentence in arabic "كل فانك جوعان" And translated it as "Eat as you are hungry". Im a bit confused about that as well. Isnt it supposed to be "Eat because you are hungry"?
