        Assalam-u-alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatuh!

I have the data and am researching on more data. All I need from volunteers right now is to spread my site as much as possible so that I can get even more useful documents for free download. i.e. I don't want to spend too much time on marketing the site as I want to focus on making as much data for free download as possible.

Arabic is not difficult. Actually it is very simple. All you need is time, regular time.

And remember, focus on studying Arabic with the purpose to understand the Qur'an and don't get lost into conversational Arabic.

Wright's Arabic Grammar is a handy reference for indepth study of any particular field and then there are some simple Arabic Grammar books also given for free download so that you have a quick overview of the basics.

Keep visiting & spreading my site http://asimiqbal2nd.110mb.com

It maybe a good idea to section them off into

levels ( beginners, intermediates, advanced )

so it would be easier for the learner especially a beginner to learn how to pick things up. ie know where he needs to begin

              then section the topics.

              ie
              writing, reading, grammar.

              then in language format.

I actually visited your site and got a lot of downloads.

But you will help a beginner out a lot to section it of.

It would be nice if you had audio downloads for some books.

Alhumduliha There is not much left outside 'the pdf thread review' that I started a couple of months ago. I have a few new pdf file (approx 30) but want to save them for a couple of months.

One of them is recommended by one of the GSCE Arabic exams boards, and I have the Audio with it as well.

Elementary Modern Standard Arabic: Volume 1, Pronunciation and Writing; Lessons 1-30 (Elementary Modern Standard Arabic, Lessons

              Editorial Reviews
              Product Description

The Elementary Modern Standard Arabic Course (EMSA) is the premier introduction, for the English-speaking student, to the active written language of the contemporary Arab world. Expressly designed for the beginning student, the course is written by a team of Arabic language teachers consisting of native and non-native Arabic speakers, linguists and people whose primary interests are literature and allied areas. It implements an audio-lingual approach to language teaching while presenting the elements of Modern Standard Arabic as written and spoken in the contemporary Arab World. Volume 1 is complete in itself and presents a practical introduction to the writing system of Arabic and to its pronunciation, with reading and writing pronunciation drills. Thirty lessons provide a basic working knowledge of Arabic. Each lesson contains a text, a vocabulary, grammar and drills including oral and written comprehension passages. An Arabic-English glossary completes the volume. The course continues in Volume 2, which extends the knowledge of vocabulary, grammar and expression. Fifteen further lessons are followed by appendices which give reference information.

                :lailah:

                JazakALLAH for the suggestions.

Can you give me links to downloadable pdf files you have so that I can consider them for the website.

I know some lecture sites but all those lectures are in Urdu. But I will try to do something about this suggestion of audio links too.

The purpose of offering these documents is to assist learners to study Qur'anic and Classical Arabic and I am deliberately avoiding any documents on Modern Standard Arabic i.e. despite having free link to downloadable version of Haywood Detailed Modern Arabic Grammar, I am not giving the link simply because it covers modern standard Arabic and is not a pure Classical Arabic book.

Regarding dividing the site into sections, for that I will have to find more material. As current material is divided into detailed reference book and about a docen books on basics. So I guess currently this division is OK but with more material I may have to add more headings.

Beginners can download the books and start with the ones they feel is easiest and consult different books to go into depth of important topics.

                          :lailah:

Arabic An Essential Grammar by Faruk is about Modern Arabic.

The djvu file of Thatcher is also about Modern Arabic.

An Introduction to Koranic and Classical Arabic by Thackson. The claim of Koranic Arabic is too big and that too appears coming from a non-Muslim. So the checking has to be strict.

                          1 example will be given.

The Derived Verbal Form II. Its most important meaning category is intensity and/or extensiveness and this book while covering this form on page 161 doesn't properly cover this meaning category.

This book will need more thorough analysis before adding it to my site since users might get confused that this is proper Qur'anic Arabic book while Wright's Arabic Grammar Masha'ALLAH! is much better than this book.

I checked Madinah books a few months ago and didn't find these books as proper Arabic Grammar books. Can you give me a link to the most proper Madinah Arabic book which properly covers grammar rules like a standard Arabic Grammar book. Moreover, are these books about Classical Arabic or about modern Arabic.
