    :salams:
There has been a lot of disputes on this forum but did you know paradise and hellfire had a dispute?

Dispute between Paradise and Hell Fire

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “Paradise and the Hell Fire disputed and the Hell Fire said, ‘In me are the mighty and arrogant.’ Paradise said, ‘In me are the weak and poor.’ So Allah judged between them saying, ‘You are Paradise, My Mercy. Through you I show mercy to whom I wish. And you are the Hell Fire, My Punishment. Through you I punish whom I wish, and it is incumbent upon Me that each of you shall be filled.’”

    [Sahih Muslim]

    Commentary:

We benefit from the above Hadith Qudsi that in the Hell fire there will be the mighty and arrogant whilst in the Paradise there will be the weak and the poor.

The weak and destitute will form the majority in Paradise. Most of those who will enter Paradise will be the weak and destitute, whom people tend to ignore and care little about, but in the sight of Allah they are important, because they fear Him and worship Him sincerely and with humility.

In Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim from Harithah ibn Wahb (radi Allahu anhu) that the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

“Shall I not tell you about the people of Paradise? They said, “Of course”. He said, “Every weak and oppressed person; if he were to implore (ask) Allah for anything, He would grant it to him.”

Imam An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy upon him) said, commenting on the above Hadith, said:

“It refers to those who others despise, scorn and oppress because of their weak position in this world. What is meant is that most of the people of Paradise will be of this type, but it does not mean that all of them will be”. [Sharh an-Nawawi ala Muslim]

Also in Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim from Usamah ibn Zayd (radi Allahu anhu) that the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

“I stood at the gate of Paradise and saw that most of those who entered were the poor and destitute. The people of means were held back, whilst the people of Hell had been ordered into the Fire. I stood by the gate of Hell, and saw that most of those who entered it were women”

    And Allah knows best!
