today those opposed to religion say : religion is bad, evil, backward and science is the way forward?

religion is blamed for everything nowadays...

science is trying to prove religions are not necesssary

Ive heard from various shaykhs that we shouldnt make statements like this. the Quran does contain science, history etc. but its wrong to say that the Quran is a science book or history book because that was not the purpose behind it.
