What to do with household arguments?

    Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullah.

Many Muslims nowadays donít really know what to do when a quarrel occurs or an argument happens. They donít know what Islamic procedure to follow.

Well, the Quran has told us to follow this procedure.

O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result.

    (4:59)

Whenever a dispute happens, then we should refer it to the Quran and Sunnah.

This is especially important for the husband and the wife. When a dispute happens, then they should go to a scholar which they both trust to solve the problem.

    This is the best method.

My first reaction to the thread title was "win them". A close second was post the trouble online for that good 'ole westernized "group think" advice that pours in.

Everyone knows that all arguments are settled on the internet, in full view of the public. There is no bigger scholar than the internet so if you have a dispute with one of your 'loved' ones, post online where you will receive objective and scholarly advice.

    -_-
