The Jinn reacting, the face contorting, voice changing, body shaking.

      That's scary to witness.

I can't imagine how the person who has that inside them - must feel.

What does that have to do with performing ruqyah on yourself?

What if that happens, whilst you're reciting and you don't know how to control yourself, or what to do?

          And you're alone?

Restrain the individual and maybe spray some Ruqyah water.

I understand what you're getting at.

Sometimes it's nice to have support. It's a psychological thing.

That's exactly what I'm trying to do.

So maybe I wasn't clear. In my quest for learning to do self ruqyah I stumbled upon a method which requires reading ayaat a certain number of times. I just want to know if this is permissible or is it not allowed. I do react to it.

It matters a lot if you have a little kid and a husband who thinks it's not real. So I'm pretty much on my own. I don't want something to manifest in front of my child.

Exactly. You gave voice to my fears. Jzk

You've been at this for quite a while now so where are you going wrong?

                        JZK.

Sorry took a while to respond.
It's true that I've been at it for a while, but the progress is very little. I am tired and feel hopeless.

I am not sure whether repeating verses a certain number of times is bid'ah. It's a doubt in my mind might just be waswaas. wallahu alam.
