    One take aways one is equal to one

    If everything flows from Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala and everything returns to Allaah, do you truly own anything? Are you not but a steward, taking care of that the portion of this world under your care, which is to be preserved and protected and possibly shared?

    There are different forms of generosity. Most of us feel generous when we give something-money, time, advice. We know that our generosity is successful when we are seen, acknowledged, thanked, and praised for what we have done. This is the most obvious level of generosity. The truth of the matter is, in these cases, we give and we are repaid. These transactions are actually exchanges and contain the actual generosity.

    A higher level of generosity is to give anonymously. The giver still benefits, but not as directly. Payment comes from knowing that we have been not only generous but also virtuous in not expecting gain recognition for our giving. However, the recipient will still feel gratitude, and inside ourselves, we assure ourselves, intuitively, that we gain merit.

    There is still another level - "secret charity." This occurs when you give so that someone benefits from your actions, but unlike at the other two levels, that person does not feel given to, nor is there any burden of gratitude. How do you feel, for example, if you find a dollar bill on the sidewalk? You look around and pick it up with a smile on your face. You may feel blessed or at least lucky. You don't feel that someone "gave it to you" but that you found it. If, however, someone made a practice of laying bills on the ground now and then-then walking away and telling no one-he or she would be practicing a simple form of secret charity.

    If you try something like this, you will soon feel the effects in your life. If you look for small, daily opportunities, they abound. My local library, for example, has a place where I can donate books so I can get a tax deduction. They also have a box so that books can be given anonymously. The choice is mine.

    You can practice generosity with other than things. It is possible to give your time, your knowledge, your labour, and your skills. Having little money is no excuse for a lack of generosity.

    At yet another level, if you give what is in your heart patience, insight, compassion you will find not only that your generosity arises from Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala, but that each act of giving also becomes an act of remembrance.

    A traditional teaching story

    Two brothers, one married and one single, farmed together and divided the grain from the harvest equally between them. The single brother often thought that his brother had extra worries and expenses because of his family so he would, from time to time, move some of the filled sacks from his storeroom into his brother's. His brother, on the other hand, often thought of how lonely his single brother must be. He thought, if my brother had a little more money he might buy himself some nicer things. So he would, without the other's knowledge, move some of his grain sacks into his brother's store room.

    For many years the number of sacks remained equal between them, and neither brother could ever understand why this was so.

      To Become a True believer & acquire Mohabbate Elahi you are to AKHLAKE BATENI.

      The main key to acquire ‘Spiritual Character’ is to be free from the hidden or internal qualities of Sinfulness / Bad Habits / Tendency to evil act. . Internal bad qualities influence man to be involved in sin. These bad qualities are:
      a. Pride b. Self-conceit c. Misery d. Cheating e. Jealousy b. Anger g. Suppression/ Oppression h. Desire for enjoyment /oppression, i. Desire to gain wealth and fame.
      2. For the emancipation on the day of Judgment the following ten (10) good qualities are essentially required to be acquired by everyone. a. Be ashamed of Sinful work (Tawba )
      b. Have patience in sufferings/ misfortune (Sabar)
      c. Remain pleased with the wish /order of Allah ( Reja)
      d. Be grateful to the blessings of Allah (Shukur)
      e. Be afraid of Allah ( Khauf)
      f. Remain hopeful for the blessings of Allah (Rwaja)
      g. Practice austerities and self-restraint (Johod)
      h. Perform prayer to Allah sincerely and wholeheartedly (Ekhlas)
      i. Well behave with all the creature of Allah (Good Behave)
      j. Have Love & Respect for Allah (Hobbey Fillah)
      3. The qualities of the great people has been mentioned in Sura Bakara -Ayat 177. To acquire Spiritual Character a man must have the qualities mentioned above.

        Hidden Sadaqah Extinguishes Allah’s Wrath
        Sadaqah (optional charity) refers to helping others in any way, by giving them in charity, by spending some time with them, listening to them attentively, directing them to the right path, feeling for them, smiling to them, removing whatever may harm them in streets, etc. All these are instances of sadaqah in its comprehensive sense.

        Hidden sadaqah is what one gives in secret with no one but Almighty Allah knowing about it. When one gives charity to a needy person in secret, one spares the needy person the feelings of inferiority he may experience if given charity in front of other people.

        Hidden sadaqah will help the needy meet their needs and will also help them get rid of the negative feelings of envy and grudge they might have harbored towards the rich people.

        Feelings of love and respect would grow then between the needy and rich people, and this, in turn, would positively reflect on the unity of society and bind its members with the bonds of love and cooperation.

        When the poor’s needs are met in an atmosphere that preserves them their dignity, the tension they would live in because of need will decrease and their energy for work will increase. This will reflect positively on their social relations with others.

        There are many poor people who are in dire need, yet they restrain from asking for charity. Hidden sadaqah will help them a lot and spare them exposure to humiliation.

        Allah Almighty says about that kind of people: [(Alms are) for the poor who are straitened for the cause of Allah, who cannot travel in the land (for trade). The unthinking man accounteth them wealthy because of their restraint. Thou shalt know them by their mark: They do not beg of men with importunity.] (Al-Baqarah: 273)

        As for he who gives hidden sadaqah, the process of giving itself provides him with great happiness and purifies his soul. It helps him get rid of selfishness and develop feelings of cooperation with others. It is also a means of protecting his wealth, [for when he gives others, he wins their love, and thus spares himself the influence of their envy.] In essence, giving sadaqah reflects on the giver and benefits him [as much as it benefits the recipients].

        Allah Almighty says: [And whatsoever good thing ye spend, it is for yourselves, when ye spend not save in search of Allah's countenance; and whatsoever good thing ye spend, it will be repaid to you in full, and ye will not be wronged.] (Al-Baqarah: 272)

        Furthermore, hidden sadaqah helps its givers get rid of feelings of depression that they may experience. When one gives the poor, one feels deep happiness, especially when one hears them praying for one and expressing gratitude for one.

        Contemplate the image Allah Almighty gives in the following verse that describes the example of the one who gives generously in charity: [And the likeness of those who spend their wealth in search of Allah's pleasure, and for the strengthening of their souls, is as the likeness of a garden on a height. The rainstorm smiteth it and it bringeth forth its fruit twofold. And if the rainstorm smite it not, then the shower. Allah is Seer of what ye do.] (Al-Baqarah: 265)

        Based on the above lines, the psychological analysis of the influence of hidden sadaqah on both the giver and the recipient shows that it extinguishes the humiliation of the recipient and the embarrassment of the giver. It creates between them such an atmosphere of peaceful coexistence that Almighty Allah is pleased with. Moreover, it extinguishes the wrath that Allah Most High may have towards the giver, for there is a divine hadith to the effect that “the hidden sadaqah extinguishes Allah’s wrath.”
