  • Sisters (mainly) have (muslim) men become a huge disappointment?

I think it's probably obvious but let's bring it up again.

It's all the fault of men isn't it? Or at least most of the responsibility goes to them.

You can't expect them to come to the rescue, you can't expect them to transform into superman if the need arises isnt it? You have to defend yourself and look after yourself, innit?

Sounds all feministy but not coming from an angle of hate.

Then again the answer is obvious. There are only a handful of men around in the world these days...

Yes, but who raises these men? It's easy to blame them but a lot of the fault lies with the parents. They are coddled too much and they haven't got any responsibility given to them, so what can we expect?

If you raise a sheep you can't be mad when there's no lions around.

It's the sisters who raised these men, isn't it!?

You think you know more than my scholar's qiyās? He was more learned than you and all other scholars combined. Yeah, the devil was the greatest scholar too and look where his qiyās of fire being better than tīn got him. Sorry.

You follow your scholar's qiyās, and I will follow the Qur'ān and Sunnah.

i agree with this completely, unfortunately lots of boys have been mollycoddled that they have no idea how to be men. This is why even with my brothers I make sure they're in a position of authority so they learn how to be decisive and leaders and just good natured people.... and the way women are these days, patience is probably one of the biggest qualities men need.

I think I missed the point, what exactly are you talking about?
If you memorize just 1 verse from the Quran everyday you would become a hafiz in 18 years and that's the Slowest pace, so what's stopping you?
And if you die during that time, then you at least had the intention of becoming a Hafiz

In all honesty. I fail to see the parents who aren't proud of their son, they tend to make excuses for him and are happy with very little! As long as he isn't a druggie and manages to hold down a job right?

There may be expectations but that are incredibly LOW and with those expectations you will not get much. It's up to us sisters honestly to raise our sons to be strong and teach them what real success is rather than this superficial dunya version.
