This is how I make "dua", is it ok?

I understand that dua is your personal prayers to God.

After each prayer I say AllahuAkbar & go down into prostration & ask God for whatever it is I want..etc. Is this ok? for now this has been the only time I make dua..

Can dua be made during the 5 daily prayers?

Salam alaykum,

The five obligatory prayers have a certain way to be performed. Duas are not part of salat, but aside from the time where you're making salah, you can make duas whenever you feel like it. Right after salah, in the closet, in your house, while you're getting dressed, in your car, in bed, at the store, while you're walking somewhere, etc.
