Primark is cheap. No doubt. Just for the sake of principle, rather scrimp and save money, wearing the same clothes for years, and spend it in other shops than Primark.

They abuse human rights making those clothes.

I'm pro-human rights.

So much so, I aspire to work for the UN.

My son actually told me today that Primark has child labour.

It's not that I shop their much, only once in a blue moon.

Meh. I'm not blaming you for shopping at Primark.
I just find it depressing reading the news.
Like today, an old woman was grabbed by a group of youths, and thrown around like a play doll.
She was screaming for them to stop.

I'm not so sure. They are pioneer headphones. They turn your ears red & hurt like hell !

If it's my parents money, then sometimes I feel like a brat and guilty. If it's mine, not really looool. But that's because it's all just saved up Eid money and whatnot, never had to work for it. I'm sure if I worked for it, it would be different.

I think the most amount of money I've spent in one day is $50-75 .. On average I spend less than $75 a month (and that's including gas) because I'm broke anyhow so no guilt

That's about how much I spend every time I'm let loose in a mall by myself. But thankfully I'm not (often) Probably go about once a month or twice on my own :rotfl:

Do you feel guilty a times buying expensive things.

The reason I ask is because I am thinking of getting a tablet and it would costs several hundred pounds. But that money could potentially feed so many people and in some way it does feel bad knowing that over half the planet is surviving on just 1-2 dollars a day and we spend several hundreds on things that potentially do not benefit us.

Does anyone else feel like this?

I realized I probably sound like I shop and spend a lot. But I don't lol. We go once a week, And on that day I'm usually in school. But eye seems to be attracted to the expensive things (Before , I even see the price).

your right

we should shop ethically as well but its hard to do so.

most shops make use of sweatshops in one way or another even designer brands.

in fact some chains are clever about it and hire other companies to do the work for them which in turn get the job done in sweatshiops. this means it cant be traced back to the chain shops
