  • Managing everything

Assalamu 'alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
InshaAllah everyone is in the best of Imaan and Health.

Thought we'd just have a thread about how we mange our commitments , by commitments I mean for myself that means Uni, Islamic classes in the evenings, part time work and excercise.

When you have so much on, how do you keep organised ? Do you keep a diary ?

    Please share
    JazakumAllahu Khairan

remind yourself that at the end of the day you're going to get a degree, extra islamic knowledge, and money, and a nice bod
you need a routine so always go for your classes a certain day certain time nd dont change it, same for gym keep a certain time/days
you can also go to your uni gym so kill two birds with one stone because you can go after/before lectures

      Re: Managing everything

Having a set schedule everyday. Abit of moving around to fit things in. But mostly all repeated daily. Staying up after fajr and sleeping at esha is great help too. Keeps you from getting tired.

I usually keep ibadah after fajr. Until breakfast time getting dressed and eating then get to work. After that I stay busy around the house and other extras. After magrib is knowledge seeking time. And family time. Then bed after esha. (Not always for me)

        Managing everything

Timetables of classes, homework and extra stuff i.e. projects etc. It helps keep routine alhamdulillah

I also write down two or three important things that I must complete before the day ends. If I don't do it, I metaphorically slap myself on the wrist and carry it over to the following day.

This ^ minus the slap myself on the wrist (don't do self-harm :p)

A diary as well helps and renewing ones intention and dua.

                    Re: Managing everything

Make a timetable, stick to it, account for every minute of your time, and most important of all do not waste aa single second. Time is perhaps your most important asset of all.
The sad reality is we waste so much of it. If we were to add up all the time spent on idle gossip, useless talks, television, internet browsing and other trivial pursuits we will be truly shocked. May Allah guide us before we run out of time.
