    Asalaamu Alaikum,

My sister it is our Nafs that keeps taking us away from Allah and eventually (Alhamdulillah) by his will we return back to him again. But the worse thing that can happen to us is if we become distant from Allah again and then death over takes us. Therefore we must keep our imaan topped up all the time. When shaythan returns after Ramadan then together with our nafs (desires) they try and break down all the good we have acquired during the blessed month.

A humble piece of advice that we should all try to implement outside of Ramadan - apart from praying all of our Fard prayers on time and fulfilling our other fard obligations like Hajj and Zakat - In order to keep our imaan topped up so we can be motivated to do other good deeds that please Allah and maintain a good connection with him:

    1. Pray Tahajjud prayer just before Fajr begins even if its 2 rakat and leave enough time for a sincere Dua. This prayer does wonders to ones life and we should all try our best to pray it as it enables one to have an intimate connection with Allah and also motivates to do other good deeds. The Dua at this time will do amazing things in our lives. I can personally vouch for that.

    2. To maintain connection with the Qur'an - even if it is a page a day or a few verses and we should also try and read the meanings of what we are reciting so that we an understand it and implement it into our lives.

If we can try and do the above two things then everything else will fall into place in our lives and we will maintain a strong connection with Allah and be aware of him at all times.

May Allah enable us to maintain a strong close connection with him at all times and enable us to resist our nafs and whispers of our enemy shaythan from taking us away from Allah. Ameen

So do not let him wait any longer as our time is so short and death can come at any moment. Walk unto him and he will RUN to you. Take this step and do not look back again. Forget what has happened before. Concentrate on the present as that is what is most important.

What better way to have a fresh start in our lives than tonight which may well be the Night of Power a night that is better than over 83 years of worship. A night so blessed that Angels from the heavens come and surround the places and gatherings of worship like bees around a nest.

We may tire from asking of Allah but he will NEVER tire of giving to us. So ask of him abundantly and he will give abundantly. Return to him and detach your heart from the love of thos short temporary life and live for the Hereafter which is FOREVER!

Re: The Best Opportunity to Change Our Lives Forever!

When will our last moment be?

The following are two short clips from videos captured before and during the moments of death of our beloved sister Rania and brother Cheick Tiote who died suddenly during Ramadan 2017.

    Sister Rania:

The following clip was captured on mobile and were the last moments of our beloved sister Rania before she, her children and other residents in her flat at Grenfell tower, Kensington, Uk, were overcome by a blazing fire on 19th Ramadan 2017.

    Brother Cheick Tiote:

International Muslim footballer Cheick Tiote dies Suddenly during training in China on 10th Ramadan 2017.

When our brother and sister above woke up that morning did they think they were going to die that day? Do any of us think our souls will be taken any second whilst we go about our daily lives?

Their deaths and many others around us each day should be a constant reminder to us about the uncertainty of life and how we too can die at any second. We keep fooling ourselves into thinking "It wont happen to me yet", but this is a pure deception as none of those who died suddenly thought it will be their last moment. We plan our future far head yet tomorrow is not certain for us.

Make the change before it is too late:

As we approach the end of this blessed month, we should thank Allah for giving us the opportunity to be alive to experience this month. But most importantly we must make the best of the blessings of this month and its purpose which is to change our lives for the better and to get closer to Allah all year around. The best opportunity to change is now, as tomorrow may never come.

Therefore let us make a firm commitment to Allah that we will let go of our major sins and try our best to obey and please him from this moment onwards so that he may forgive us for all of our sins and give us a fresh start like that of a newborn baby. If we keep fooling ourselves thinking we have time then we will be like how Allah describes:

They will cry out in Hell and say: “Our Lord, let us out so that we may act righteously, different from what we did before.” (They will be told): “Did we not grant you an age long enough for anyone to take heed if he had wanted to take heed? Besides, there came a warner to you. So have a taste of the torment now. None may come to the help of the wrong-doers.”
    (Surah Fatir, 37)

May Allah give all the Muslims who died during this month Jannatul Firdaus and enable us to learn from their deaths so that we may take action to change our lives for the better from this moment onwards. Ameen
