    Thank you for posting this article. It's quite revealing and brutally honest. The US "Correctional" system is dangerously over crowded and even more dangerously under funded. Surprisingly enough, many state level "correctional facilities" are privately owned and operated by large corporations. Ironic tidbit here... the facility I was incarcerated in is owned and operated by a local baptist church. It's an understatement to say that we were treated VERY un-christian like. LOL

      Rutgers Webcam-Spying Defendant Is Sentenced to 30-Day Jail Term

      Dharun Ravi had faced up to 10 years in prison after he was found guilty of using a webcam to spy on his roommate, Tyler Clementi, who committed suicide.

          There are people on either side of the sentencing argument.
          Many wonder why he's been sentenced at all - mental anguish, sure but it was not a decision to kill.
          On the other side is the privacy argument.

              Looking at the US incarceration rate over the last century in this graph, it has increased over five fold. This seems like a bad thing:
