it is JazakAllah KHAIR not JazakAllah

this is a general information for some brothers & sisters who say "JazakAllah" when someone does something good for them or in general...

saying only "JazakAllah" means "may Allah award you" and not "may Allah REward you", so it could be anything...Allay may award some1 punishment also...

"JazakAllah Khair" means "may Allah reward you", which is the right thing to say..

just an information i wanted 2 share...

    Assalamualaikum

        JazakAllah Khair
(The hypocrites) will call the believers: "Were we not with you?" The believers will reply: "Yes! But you led yourselves into temptations, you looked forward for our destruction; you doubted (in Faith); and you were deceived by false desires, till the Command of Allah came to pass. And the chief deceiver (Satan) deceived you in respect of Allah."57:14

Jazakallah khAir means may Allah reward you which is obviously better then saying to someone. May Allah award you and add nothing else which ca be good or bad ini? This is purely based on the arabic language ...

see this is the problem when you dont understand proper Arabic...

this quotation u gave is actually against ur argument..

                    here ibn Abbas said
which means may Allah award you JANNAH!!!
so read the whole dua 1st...

he didnt say "jazakAllah" & thats it....

in ARABIC language JazakAllah alone means "may Allah award u" & Allah can award any1 jannah, paradise, good or punishmen, hell etc....

jazakAllah KHAIR means may Allah reward u...its simple brother, if u know arabic u would understand...

exactly, since we use the arabic language saying "JazakAllah" then it is better 2 complete it & say "JazakAllah khair", its as simple as that.........

"JazakAllah" does not mean "may Allah reward you" but
                              "may Allah award you"

because the word "reward" means something good in return but "JazakAllah" alone does not mean that....
