    Untrusted Connection...?

When I try to sign in to my hotmail account:

    This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect
securely to login.live.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely,
sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are
going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.

    What Should I Do?

    If you usually connect to
this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is
trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

    Technical Details

login.live.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate will not be valid until 16/06/2009 01:00.

    (Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)

are you using a proxy by any chance? Someone could be carrying out a man in the middle attack. Basically, they can potentially get access to your account login creditionals and sniff/see your data.

Don't worry about the proxy bit.
Are you still getting the error message? Have you tried it on a different browser?
Paste the URL you are trying to use to login to hotmail.

I get the error on lots of different things, I was trying to make a youtube account and it gave me the same error:

              Technical Details

www.google.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate will not be valid until 27/03/2009 22:20.

              (Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)

              I Understand the Risks

If you understand what's going on, you
can tell Firefox to start trusting this site's identification.
Even if you trust the site, this error could mean that someone is
              tampering with your connection.

              Don't add an exception unless
you know there's a good reason why this site doesn't use trusted identification.

Do this, go to this link: https://login.live.com/ - If it gives you an error then view the certificate, take a printscreen and paste it here.

Also, I presume you are using Firefox 3.5 - Go to Tools->Options->Advanced->Network->Settings - At the top you have three radio buttons, which one is selected?

                    No Proxy
It will, I need to see the certificate signiture. You can PM if want.
Are you on a wireless network? What ecryption is your router using? If its WEP someone could have cracked it and is now "possibly" sniffing your network. Anyway, if you are using a wireless, then connect the laptop/PC directly into the router via the network cable, disable the wireless adapter and then see if you still have the problem. If you don't then someone possibly tapped into your network and is sniffing your data. In such a scenerio, change ALL of your passwords immediately. If you are using someone elses network without their consent then this was an accident waiting to happen.

BTW, do you have a trial version of Microsoft Office 2007 or any other program installed?
