Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhi
So today I was blessed to receive a parcel, a big box containing all sorts of books on all.sorts of topics and subject all thanks to brother @thisisjannah how much of a nice gesture was that eh!
Seriously I pray Allah SWT rewards him in this life and the next immensely Ameen
Even on another forum I used they have a 'PIF' section of the forum I was wondering like what that meant,
then I was told it means Pay It Forward as in gifting something to someone for free and doing a good deed
I was given a free gift by a kind non Muslim which I really appreciated because to me it's a very kind gesture as it's not just giving you something but it's going out your way too for example having to post it too etc
Then I thought about this forum and what brothers @thisjannah and also @fakhri_bin_ali (hope I got the usernames right as I'm using the app to make this post) did by sending me things for free, which I truly appreciate.
So the concept is simple gift someone something as a means of doing a good deed, there's no pressure and gifting is something that can be done fisbilillah
Anyways @sajid I was wondering like how we used to have the souk to sell stuff, could we have just a section purely for PIF's?
Obviously make it a section where you have established members only like the general for Muslim section of the forum for example
I thought it could be really good for sharing knowledge like books and even things like attars too for example in sha Allah
Anyways just an idea, what say you @sajid?
