If you think about it, the person that will step forward into the marriage is YOU, so whatever baggage you have this too will be carried forward. It's not a case of wiping the slate clean and starting afresh because the person you are today has been built over many years. Years of successes and failures, the experiences you have had, the people that you have met that have influenced you, in short you are a product of your environment. If for example you feel low because you hate confrontational situations...well if you experience this in marriage you'll still feel the same way.

It's very rare to enter a union where it's going to be plain sailing, you'll have issues and you'll have to rely on each other to resolve then. Sometimes he'll let you down, other times you'll let him down...this is all normal, we mess up from time to time. You'll find you won't be able to turn to him for help 100% of the time and vice versa, it's just how it is for the overwhelming majority of couples.

You also need to remember in some cases things end badly. No one really enters a marriage wanting it to fail but sometimes it does happen. In these situations caring goes out the window along with his clothes.

And whatever Stani told you about this family nonsense just needs a slap. Just because you treat your family well it does not follow you'll treat his family well too...they are different people and you'll be more close to yours than his generally speaking.

Still marriage has it's advantages and I'd always recommend it. The rewards far outweigh everything else.

Just work on your mood swings, it's not big and it's not clever...no man likes a moody Margaret.
You should write this sensibly all the time brother.

                      Maybe I'm misreading this post.

Did you just say to a sister 'Bruv, that's my heart you're trampling over.'?
