Re: I'd rather marry a 'plain potato' if she's pious and a good mother
Question for a new thread: would sisters feel comfortable marrying a man who thought of her as a 'plain potato' but admired her other qualities?
Life's actually pretty simple: you just have to enjoy it, pray, do good, refrain from bad, and respect others.Being Muslim is not a disadvantage or an advantage - it's a responsibility. "So patiently persevere: for verily the promise of Allah is true" (Qur'an, Surah Ar-Rum - 30:60)

Great question. And the answer is: NO. Lol.
Us brothers are always getting flak for caring so much about beauty, but these same sisters giving us flak would cry if their husbands didn't think they were beautiful, even if the husbands married them for their deen and character.
