  • Remember?

Remember that time when you had learned
I can be seriously silly, while your back was turned
Fooling around pulling faces while you secretly smiled, amused
As the mirror reflected a fruit loop that semed to be seriously confused?
I think it was the first time the ice between us had broke
discomfort of the unknown had turned into a funny memorable joke
I would wake up everyday looking forward to sharing it with you
And in the weekends I started missing the special moments n I'd be stuck to my phone like a glue
I knew I was addicted to you helplessly
The feeling of euphoria; buzzing inside me senselessly
We were close, lost in our little bubble
You made feel so safe, so secure, like there was no sense of trouble
Our frendship became very deep routed, my love for you just kept on growing
It knew no bounds; your warmth kept it flowing

Then one day you turned up, expression more stark than death
Something was wrong, panicking I couldn't catch my breath
You kept glancing towards me with heavily burdened eyes
No smiles or jokes, just silent cries
Finally when I thought the day wouldn't end
You approached me with news from what I could comprehend
It wasn't good at all, I felt you ripped out my soul
Tears streaked down my cheeks burning like firey coal

You said what you had to, and walked away
Looking down i nodded, forced a smile at what you had to say

That day I had died so many deaths at once
I used to carry on as if in a trance
Nothing was perfect or real anymore
    I was so confused, lost and emptier than ever before;
Before I ever laid my eyes on you
Now I was weeping my nights away til my pillows soaked through

A few weeks later you announced your news
Everyone rejoiced and ambushed you with Q's
Whilst I remained silently behind in suffocation
I noticed your friends giving me looks of pity and commiseration
I smiled, back though tears started to flow
Thankfully no one was aware as they were busy with the show

I turned up on your wedding day as per your wish
All eyes on you, do you remember? A seriously handsome dish
When you saw me walk in your colour turned into a pale blue
You were missing a smile and I had lost mine too
You excused yourself and approached me, tension building up
You looked at me and said "come" and took me away from the crowd I felt my heart beat stop

We entered an empty room, the lights remained switched off
I didn't know what to expect but dread filled me deep enough

You held me tight and began to sob so hard and apologised profusely
I didn't resist, I cried too, you made my makeup all messy!

About half an hour passed whilst we were in this state
Words started flying around about the missing groom being late

I could have stayed in your arms forever but my tears had long run out
Suddenly your dad burst in and in a fit of rage he began to shout
He pried us both apart and dragged you to a side
I could hear you desperately crying to him you wanted me but it wasn't Upto you to decide
It was the last I saw from you when your dad slapped you across your face
He hurled abuse at both of us said we were a disgrace

I never found love ever again,
we stole each other's hearts and now deservedly so, paying for this incredible pain.

You think you know more than my scholar's qiyās? He was more learned than you and all other scholars combined. Yeah, the devil was the greatest scholar too and look where his qiyās of fire being better than tīn got him. Sorry.

You follow your scholar's qiyās, and I will follow the Qur'ān and Sunnah.

Lol is it... I've changed it a few days ago, maybe it's not updated in your Computer yet.

Btw I was going for that effect. You think it's human or animal?

Too right. It's a shame we as muslims know this yet we fall into the trap anyways

I often wonder because hindsight it's 20/20 and you can look back and see where you went wrong though when you're going through it it, things are easily dismissed and overlooked.

May Allah protect us in shaa Allah, ameen.

Your statement Allah's wisdom supersedes all is something I often think about lol. It's just so undeniably true.

Yes I ponder this also sis when I think of everything I've been through in my life or when I feel myself questioning the qadr(may Allah make us content with it Aameen). Or even when pondering over the creation. Its just subhanAllah.

I accidentally posted it in the marraige section Sowee. If mods can move it to poetry section I would greatly appreciate it
