    Re: Marry the woman who...

There are many things to consider...

A major thing is to see how a woman copes when she is angry/upset... including how forgiving she is. Many women are just lovely when calm... but go all Jekyll and Hyde when angry... sometimes those times are so bad they can spoil everything else.

      True dat.

On a side note.. How do we ascertain religious commitment in the other person?...how do we find out that they value their religion even though they may not be outwardly religious/ haven't fully committed to the religious practises?

Depends what level of commitment that individual is looking for.

Some may be content with alhamdulilah that at least the person is Muslim, others may be content with that they pray, others that they read Quran regularly as well, read Islamic books, memorise Quran and so on.

Its the regular consistent actions that separate people but the main connection has to be with Quran.

          Actions speak louder that words.

But a person's understanding and views mean so much too. It's no good doing a lot of good actions yet not truly appreciating why you're doing them.

We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light.

Yes this is true. Some people don't deal with their anger correctly and take it out on the wrong people who didn't have anything to do with what made them angry. I would hate to be married to someone who comes home angry and takes it out on me after bad day at work, either they should leave the anger outside when they enter the house or they should just let me know what's happened so we can talk through it. But some men are too proud or "manly" to tell their problems, trying to pretend nothings wrong then get snappy and temperamental over stupid little things releasing their anger in all the wrong ways.
