its like asking brothers would you like to go to hellfire? a lot of the q posed to men/brothers are a bit silly. You're going to do many of those things whether you like it or not. So do we.

Also read LondonGals post again as the post you quoted was a specific case she was referring to. That doctor girl is in the second year of her marriage with a child. Of course she's going to be a SAHM, especially when her husband is a lawyer so there's no financial pressure on her to work.

Women with newborn children very rarely work. Even amongst the non-Muslims they take time out from work, and get things like maternity leave.

A Muslim woman, who has her priorities straight, isn't going to ditch her newborn child to a daycare so she can focus on her career.

I hope your not the type of guy to be crying about "gheerah" and how your wife gets treated by a man and then tell other Muslim female doctors to become housewives since their skills aren't needed and their "real profession" is "at their homes". Because that is the vibe im getting from most of you "men".

We don't live in the 7th century anymore. Children go to school from 8 am to 3pm, they go to after school clubs, madrassa etc as usual with most muslim families. But whatever, study for 8 years to become a doctor to not use your skill.
    What's with aggressions? Relax.

I never ever said on this forum all women should be housewives and never work. We do need women in various sectors (e.g. doctors, teachers, nurses etc.) otherwise how would society work.

Okay i agree. But the person could plan to start practising when they have raised their family so it might not have been a waste

Another thing. How messed up is it to go through uni, accruing interest based debt without a care in the world, cause you're banking on your husband to pay it off for you (and potentially angering Allah in the process).
