Sometimes husbands just talk to bank clerks, etc and smiling and laughing is not flirting nor is it haram.

        It's a charity.

        ...
Its not a charity looking at someone of the opposite gender and smiling at them, one should lower their gaze so there goes that idea...

        I agree with Fatima.

Why do you have to laugh? I don't care if everyone else in the work place is doing it, its not right being so relaxed with the opposite gender for ANY reason. Who said you have to moody? You can smile in general, excessive chatter which leads to laughter is a different case altogether. For Brothers okay with it, I wonder how they'd feel about their wife doing the same.

That would really pee me off if this woman knew that his wife was standing there.... I'm sorry but if that was me I would have done something i.e slapped her one, that is plain rude.

But would you really do it if you were in this situation? I'll be too embarrassed to do so!

I don't think there's any need to get all physical, slapping people. Try to break the conversation and end it. And, have a work with him later on in privacy.

Shes inticing the guy by laughing.

It's expected that's she'll laugh. Bank teller, waitresses, etc., they want to appear kind and courteous to customers.

It's not expected that your Muslim husband crack useless jokes with a non-mahram.

Erm maybe not in that situation but if it was a little more than laughing I most certainly would. Sister if this happens to you step in it's not right and also give your husband the befit of the doubt but don't be too harsh it can have a negative impact.
