bro, their simple point is that Rapists don't really care about covering. If they want to do it and they see the opportunity, they will take it regardless of how the women is dressing.

If you are just looking at that specific situation then may be he might go for the less covered one, But there might be other factors involved. If the uncovered one has a mahram while the covered one does not, then you can assume which one the rapist will victimize.

      THROUGH A RAPIST’S EYES……how to prevent rape

A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interviewed on what
they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting
      facts :

      1) The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle.
They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun, braid
or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed . They are also likely
to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not
      common targets.

      2) The second thing men look for is clothing . They will look for
women who’s clothing is easy to remove quickly
      . Many of them carry
scissors around specifically to cut clothing.

      3) They also look for women on their cell phone , searching through
their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are
off guard and can be easily overpowered.

Then say it is your opinion. Don't bring me some bogus statistics and bogus studies from a bogus source.

What the other members are saying holds true. It might matter in some instances, But generally it really doesn't, as of now what I understand.

it was not me who brought up some bogus statistics btw...

dress does matter.......wherever in a society girls dress inapropriately/immodestly the rape cases will definitely increase....although i am not denying that rapes do occur everywhere in the world......but as i keep saying "COMMON SENSE" has to be used.....

Attention all rapists! If you happen to be a rapist reading this thread then could you come here say your piece?

Because you have here people who think they understand the mind of a rapist almost as though they are on intimate terms with them

You know what i find funny? The males in this thread are saying that clothes matters to a rapist, the females are saying it doesn't, yet men are the ones accused of being rapists, so logically who should understand the mind of a rapist better?

But: wa kaanal insaanu akthara shay'in jadalaa.

I'm not a rapist and I have no idea what happened to this thread since I last commemnted so I can't be bothered reading back a couple of pages to understand. However I have read the psychology of a seriel killer and I have met some peverted sick-o-fests in my time (some who were Muslim) and clothing did not matter when these people had these weird sick thoughts/fantasies.

So to conclude to prevent being targeted the Sisters should not be alone and should dress modestly when outside the home. It's a sick World out there and what is worse is when you neglect the Sunnah when you think you know better.
