She says that the basic psychological need of a man is respect and a women love. Sounds very true.

          Asaalam,

I agree 100% with you, if we follow QURAN and Hazrat Muhammad(PBUH)correctly then we don't need any other book or person.

          Jazakallah

Shaykh Salih ibn uthaymeen [rahimahullaah] has a nice book on marriage.
When he entered the grounds of the Citadel Prison in Damascus, he stood and looked at its walls, reciting the verse: {“…So a wall will be put up between them with a gate therein. Inside it will be mercy, and from the outside, it will be torment.”} [al-Hadid; 13]

i agree with that 100% subhanAllah that's why in Islam there is so much emphasis on women obeying husbands and husbands being gentle with wives:up:

Ya, but not every one is a scholar to interpret the Quran and Hadiths. We have to follow the examples of the people after the prophet as well, the sahaba's and the tabiens who studied and have interpreted the hadiths and what not extensively.

What about that one book by Ibn Hazm, The Ring of Dove, the whole thing is online too. http://www.muslimphilosophy.com/hazm/dove/ringdove.html
