We are living in scary times. For the "muslim being oblivious" to this issue, i think its more because they really cant do anything about it. And if they try they will automatically get attacked and called terrorists and extremists. Our ummah is walking on eggshells in the world now, ANY thing we could do that might be the slightest offending to the west, and we are done. And obviously the lgbt topic is a sensitive one so you can only imagine how much fuss that would make! Other than that, i am very scared for these children, i am 24 and i feel like my generation (90s babies) is the last one with a bit of common sense. I dont know what we can do about this, like someone said here, teaching children something and school saying otherwise will confuse them and it could be risky. But what can we do. The only options we have is either homeschool them, move to a muslim country at least until theyre old enough to not get influenced anymore, or reallyyy teach them to love and follow the religion as early as possible

The Jews can easily go to Israel.

                  Muslims don't have that luxury.

Alhamdullilah, should make it a little more manageable for Muslim Parents. The problem we now have to tackle is to get parents to educate themselves about Islam and teach their children properly!

                          8 powerful habits to succeed

                          1. Wake up early!
                          2. Do it as soon as possible, you could die tonight so make the best of today
                          3. Remember your life is unique, don't compare yourself to others. Use that jealousy as an energy to make your life a success"
                          4. Have healthy habits. Set a time each day to exercise. Try with the mindset you're only going to do some jumping jacks for 5 seconds and the next thing you know, you're doing a workout!
                          5. Read, read, read. Ponder over the Qur'an, learn more. Put the idiot box (TV) away
                          6. Take note. Desires make slaves out of kings and patience makes kings out of slaves.
                          7. Results aren't just worldly. Results are also about perseverance, retaining dignity, being honest, being honourable, doing good unto others.
                          8. Always encourage others especially our brothers and sisters, let them know making mistakes is okay, we all make mistakes, do not ever undermine them and make them feel incompetent. This id also true for the dunya, so what if they don't get the maths sum right the first time, that is what LEARNING is.

It says parents can request their children are excluded from such lessons. Doesn't that mean that if the request is not granted then they wont have a choice in the matter? Or does it mean parents can send a note saying my child wont attend that lesson and other arrangements will need to be made?

Ukthi the problem was the government was thinking of making Gay relationship lessons compulsory,

The government has responded and admitted parents still have the right to pull their kids out of those dirty lessons.

If you tell your kids teachers that you don't want Sodomy lessons for your kids, they have to abide by it, wether they make alternative arrangements or lwt you have the day off, I don't know.

Yes, otherwise homeschooling was the only alternative as far as I can see.

Now the problem is clueless or ignorant parents who have been overlooking filth education at school for years. Then they wonder what happened when their kids end up with boyfriends and girlfriends,

This evil often comes up in the open when time for marriage,
